In anticipation of Independence Day celebrations, Jammu and Kashmir Police partnered with the Border Security Force (BSF) to execute a crucial search operation near the International Border on Sunday evening. This operation reflects ongoing security measures aimed to enhance vigilance in the region.
The coordinated effort unfolded in Aik Nallah, Kool Kalan, and its vicinity, which comes under the jurisdiction of Arnia Police Station. The operation commenced around 6 pm and unfolded over a span of nearly two hours, demonstrating the commitment of local authorities to maintain peace and order during this sensitive period.
During the operation, security personnel meticulously scrutinized approximately 15 houses and several shacks, locally referred to as ‘kullas’. The thorough checks underscore a proactive stance on security, particularly in a region that is often on high alert.
A spokesman from the police stated that the operation was not only routine but also essential for reinforcing area dominance and ensuring that all security protocols are followed ahead of the national holiday. Intelligence inputs suggest the need for heightened surveillance to prevent any untoward incidents.
Officials reported that the situation remained calm throughout the search operation, with no alarming incidents noted. This reflects an overall atmosphere of stability, further easing community concerns.
With Independence Day approaching, the emphasis on security remains paramount. The collaboration between local police and the BSF highlights the importance of cross-agency cooperation in safeguarding the community. Strong police presence and active operations are expected to continue as the nation prepares to celebrate its freedom.
